Coming from Downtown
1 . Keep to the right going north on Michigan Avenue. Enter the Lake Shore Drive EXPRESS lanes northbound at Oak Street (1000 North).
2. Exit Lake Shore Drive at Fullerton (2400 North).
3. Take Fullerton west to Lincoln Avenue (800 West).
4. Turn 45 degrees right onto Lincoln Avenue.
5. Go about 1 mile to Rita Rugs at 3040 N. Lincoln.
OR (if Lake Shore Drive is not convenient)
1. Go north on LaSalle Street.
2. At Clark Street (1700 North) turn left onto Clark.
3. At the first light, turn left, then fork to the right onto Lincoln Avenue.
4. Continue north on Lincoln to Rita Rugs at 3040
From O’Hare
1. Approach Chicago from I-90.
If at the airport, exit the airport departure level keeping to the right. The sign will say I-190 East towards Chicago Loop. Follow the traffic flow on I-190 East merging into I-90 East (Kennedy Expressway).
2. Continue on the Kennedy to Kimball Avenue (about 8 miles).
3. Exit at Kimball. At the bottom of the ramp turn right onto Kimball, then immediately turn left onto Belmont Avenue. You are now going east on Belmont.
4. At 1600 West make a 45 degree right turn onto Lincoln Avenue.
5. Rita Rugs is at 3040.
From Wisconsin/Milwaukee
1. Take the I-94 East (heading South) towards CHICAGO. Continue on I-94 into Illinois as it becomes the Illinois Tollway. (There are two tolls, one 75¢ the other 50¢.)
2. After leaving the last toll booth, continue on I-94 following the traffic flow as it merges with the Edens Expressway heading south into the Kennedy Expressway (I-90). You are now on the Kennedy Expressway heading South towards the dowtown area.
3. Continue on the Kennedy to Kimball Avenue the exit is on right.
4. Exit at Kimball. At the bottom of the ramp turn right onto Kimball, then immediately turn left onto Belmont Avenue. You are now going East on Belmont.
5. At 1600 West (Ashland Ave) make a 45 degree right turn onto Lincoln Avenue.
6. Rita Rugs is at 3040, on the right side of the street.
From Indiana
1. Take the Indiana Toll Road (I-80/90) or I-94 west towards Chicago.
2. As the toll road ends it will merge into the Chicago Skway. After paying the toll and continuing on the Skyway, keep to the left. When the Skyway ends it will merge into the Dyan Ryan Expressway (I-90/94 West). If you elect not to take the toll road, then continue on I-94 towards Chicago. I-94 (Borman Expressway) will merge into the Dan Ryan Expressway as you approach the city.
3. Continue on the Dan Ryan (now I-90/94) and merge onto the express lanes which are on your left. As you approach the downtown area, continue to keep left to avoid the exit lanes. You will see the sign I-94 West to Wisconsin.
4. After the downtown area, I-94 becomes the Kennedy Expressway. Move to the right lane and exit at Armitage Avenue (2000 North). At the bottom of the ramp turn right onto Armitage, then immediately turn left onto Ashland Avenue. You are now going north on Ashland Avenue.
5. At 3000 North turn right onto Wellington Avenue. The second street is Lincoln Avenue. Rita Rugs is at 3040 Lincoln.
